Cisco Ip Phone Call History
The Cisco IP Phone 7940/7960 keeps a history of all calls you make and receive, including the caller ID, date, and time of the call. You can use this information to redial a party. Hello, We set up a new site and now our IP phones which are 7941 are not showing the call history such as missed calls, received calls, and placed calls. We have call manager 8x. Also, the new site phones register to the subscriber in another site.
Cisco 8811, 8851, 8865: Manage Call History (including Missed Call list). Cisco 7800 & 8800 IP Phones Maintenance Operations (Factory Reset, Remove CTL, Backup Image) - Duration: 5:37.
Sorry I'm not 100% sure whether you are looking to view this information on the phone (which you can generally do by visiting the 'Directories' section on a lot of Ciscos), or view this information from the CUCM server (I suspect this is the case). You want to look into Call Data Records (CDRs), which are records captured for each call made through the system. Note that this may not neccessarily be happening by default and may need some configuration. On version 7.1 of CUCM at least, you can find it under Tools in the Cisco Unified Serviceability section of your CUCM web interface. There is quite a bit to getting a full understanding of it (which I certainly dont have) but this should hopefully lead you in the right direction.
Once on an active call, there are two options to transfer: a warm transfer or blind transfer. How to make a warm transfer:A warm transfer allows you to talk to the person who will be receiving the transfer before passing the call through to ensure the person receiving the call is ready to talk. Press the Dial soft key (if you dial a 10 digit number, the call continues without having to press the Dial soft key). Announce the call (If the called party is not available, press the Cancel soft key to return to the original caller). Press the xfer soft key.How to make a blind transfer:A blind transfer allows you to send a call to an alternate extension or phone number without waiting for an answer or confirming the availability of the receiving party.
