Regular Clone Avas from shop are not bad. The set bonus is not huge, but the individual stats granted can be very nice. Usually +1 to important skill, free str/int, etc.Clone avas work by choosing them after equipping a regular ava.

Welcome to the DFO World Wiki. With many major updates since the release of DFO, many items are missing. Visit Item Database Project to learn more. Please remember to click 'show preview' before saving the page. Thanks for the updated logo snafuPop! Can anyone explain what clone avatar items are? Submitted 3 years ago by Zeiin. Really getting into DFO but I don't quite get what clone items are. How do they work? And also are the stats even worth the purchase? Full set for like $12 and the stats seem underwhelming (unless I'm missing something). If they're actually worth it, can anyone.

It lets you 'clone' the look of the first ava, but you get to keep the clone stats. If you do not have any regular avas, fear not. Just click the clone ava and it will still equip. You will not 'clone' the look of any ava, so your character will still have on default clothing, but you keep the clone ava stat benefits.Say there's an event ava for free that you like.

You can put it on, then put on clone ava, and basically wear the event ava but gain clone stats. Without clone ava, you'd just wear the event/other ava and gain 0 stats.Rare Clones are a similar concept, but give better stats. Most people buy full ava packages from the store or with gold, not buy each individual piece of clone from the store if that's what you're asking. Full ava package usually gives set of clones, reg avas, and special items worth a decent bit.Rare avas are really good if you get a set and/or if you get top tier platinum emblems. You'll probably have to farm gold or get lucky on bind cubes for rares. If you want to pinch pennies, only buy a select few clones from store. Stuff like top and torso may be preferred vs shoes/belt.

Alternatively, some events give out selective clone ava boxes, so pick good clone pieces from those. Lost treasure will also spit them out every so often, farm free keys and hope for a tad of luck if you want to not spend actual money to get clones.

Well if you want a full set of reg clones, best bet may be to buy a full limited package. Ninja, goth, TAO, that kind of stuff. There's no package (that I'm aware of) for just clones: clones kind of get tacked on as extras in the normal packages.Buying each clone individually in store doesn't seem efficient, and I don't think there's a bundle of just 8 clone pieces. If you don't want the extras that come with say Ninja package, I'd do events / treasures for clone ava boxes or just buy 2-3 of the clones that have more of an impact. Stats on regular clone avatars aren't exceptional, but they're a nice bonus to have on a character you'll be playing seriously.

There are a few select pieces that are especially helpful, like the clone top giving you +1 to just about any skill for your class (you'll usually want your main buff skill for swapping as well as whatever DPS skill your class uses. This might mean you need more than one clone for min-maxing, as each clone top can only have one skill).Really, what I find is the greatest boost you get from clone avatars is the ability to equip emblems to them. A couple extra points in attack/movement speed are pretty nice, but critical hit rate bonuses in particular can be huge, totaling an 8.8% bonus from 4 green silver emblems (that can be equipped on top/bottom).

Maybe it's because I play classes that scale really well from critical hit, but emblems play a big part in why clones can be really good. Also, I usually get my clones from avatar packages, and not from the cera shop. If I somehow have a few pieces on a character missing, I'd prefer to fill it out with clones from Lost Treasure or an event (like one of the events right now which gives you a clone avatar of your choice every week).
