My Laptop Won't Open Any Programs
Might not be your case, but, shot in the dark.Windows would boot.I could type password and log inThat was it. If I clicked start menu, tried to open any programs - either nothing opened or the OS flat froze.Long story short - my anti virus subscription in ESET ran out. Windows defender turned itself on thinking ESET was no longer working. Both AV programs were running and fighting for control, blocking me from doing anything.I found out because I just booted up and logged in and left my machine on for like 20 minutes while I walked the dog. Came back to a pop up on the desktop.
